“Merchants Bank wanted to update the window treatment in our Boardroom at our Kennedy Drive Headquarters building. I had worked with Gordon’s Window Decor on previous upgrades of windows at some of our branches and decided to invite them back to discuss the various types of treatments available.
Gordon’s came in with multiple options and was able to quickly narrow down the selection based on our use of the room and the personal preference of the selection committee that was involved. The installation staff came in and worked hard to complete the project with minimal impact to the use of the room.
The new treatment that included drapes and roller shades for sun control, resulted in a great new modern look for the Merchants Bank Boardroom. The roller shades allowed for additional options to control the natural lighting while not eliminating the view.

“We value the beautiful windows we have in both our buildings however, we noticed that we were losing a great deal of heat through them,” said Benay. “At the same time we were addressing student safety and asked the Board to consider energy efficient shades as part of the strategic facilities plan. "The goal of this project was to address the building’s cooling capacity, and minimize the degree of sunlight passing through the skylights.
